Corporate Social Responsibility The Company's concern for society extends beyond its business. The mission of the Company drives its sincere efforts to promote good health, social development and better environment for sustainable, all round growth through its various Corporate Social Responsibility programs It has been the Company's constant endeavor to spread awareness on Cancer, its causes and prevention. In this regard the following initiatives were taken: The Company strives to promote well being of its employees. It launched an in-house corporate wellness program with free cardiac & orthopedic checkup and consultation camps in collaboration with Medanta Medicity. The senior doctors from Medanta guided all employees on diet, necessary preventive actions for general health issues and most importantly Heart Disease and Osteoporosis. Serious efforts are being made towards making a meaningful contribution to uplift and transform the lives of the underprivileged. As a responsible corporate committed to Caring for Life, the Company is providing support for treatment of children suffering from cancer in collaboration with Cankids, an NGO that supports treatment of under privileged children suffering from Cancer. The Company has been donating drugs on regular basis to treat cancer incidents in these children. The company continues to provide financial support to NGO Kalania to run Epilepsy Health Care Center for local people living below the poverty line. Other efforts include the employees of Kalyani manufacturing unit celebrating Republic Day with the patients admitted in Gandhi Memorial Hospital followed by fruit packet distribution. In order to promote and develop local educational institutions, the company distributed wooden benches in Dakshin Chandmari Primary School. Occupational Health and Safety To keep the manufacturing sites, R&D and Corporate Office safe, numerous safety initiatives were undertaken during the year. Emergency preparedness was ensured through regular safety programs and mock drills exercises, at all locations. Extensive safety training programs, both by internal as well as external specialists, were also conducted to enhance workplace safety. Caring for environment 
We are committed to protecting nature as the basis of life and to using its resources responsibly. We make every effort for environmental protection, through plantation, continuous assessment of production sites, sophisticated effluent management system, strict control on emissions. Fresenius Kabi Oncology Limited Celebrated National Breast Cancer Awareness Month: 
A series of breast cancer awareness campaign were run to cater to our strong social conscience. It was our constant endeavor to spread awareness amongst general public & urging masses to join us in our campaign mission to bring Breast cancer out of darkness through various innovative medium such as print, radio & electronic. Concurrently we conducted breast cancer screening camps at various places such as Nasik, Delhi, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh etc. on World Cancer Day. |
