The CSR policy at Fresenius Kabi Oncology Limited has a two-layer implementation framework for planning and execution of our CSR activities. The CSR Committee of the Board of Directors provides the necessary direction and guidance over choice of initiatives by the Company, periodical monitoring and controlling of the activities. The execution of intended CSR activities on ground is managed by a CSR Steering Committee.
We strive for creating value for the society with our CSR Programs in States where the Company has its operations through thoughtfully selected CSR initiatives. Our Company’s primary focus is to contribute to promotion of education. We pursue this intent through development of infrastructure in institutions in and around our operation Sites with upgradations of their existing infrastructure, investments in new constructions for additional class rooms, laboratories, provision of new equipment for Laboratories, creation of computer centers, set up of new facilities to provide basic amenities for students, etc. The Company also extends scholarships to meritorious students as well. Our Company’s philanthropic activities as part of the CSR program also included few supports to differently abled and needy children such as sponsoring of meal to resident blind students of a Blind School located near to our Production Site in Kalyani, West Bengal. As a part of our ongoing initiative, we have also partnered with Amitasha Foundation, an NGO which aims at providing education by running Shiksha Kendra to the needy and the underprivileged in Gurugram.
Our Company has been engaging with community surrounding our operations and have successfully completed interventions like infrastructure developments aimed at improving quality of life of residents therein, preventive healthcare supports for them, etc. Our Company also joined hands with the Government machinery and supported in extension of relief measures to redress the grievances of poor and needy section of people during the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.
